A preview!

So I'm still waiting on my professional pictures, but I knew my wonderful aunt had been dubbed the "paparrazi" at my wedding. I FINALLY got the USB drive and holy moly are there are lot of pictures!

Here are a few of my favorites from the ceremony! I'll post more as I edit them!

Brother walking my beautiful mother down the aisle.

So I had two different people tell me that rather than look at the bride coming down the aisle, they look at the groom. Both ladies told me that Jimmy's look was perfect but I hadn't really seen it. Let's just say, I BAWLED when I saw this picture.

On the other hand, I was too nervous to look anywhere BUT my dad. No idea what we talked about, but at least he made me smile!

Saying our vows. Things got a bit mixed up on that altar, but we still got it together!

We're married!

Back at it...

So I've been MIA for about two weeks. Why?

I got MARRIED! It was the best and most exciting day of my life. And the honeymoon was one of the most relaxing vacations ever.

I promise to do full updates about everything REALLY soon. I have two major trainings for work these next two weeks. But after that this blog will be wedding central. :)

Totally surreal to know I am married. :) :)

Haven't really stressed about it...until Chantal came along

So, I think I've been pretty good during this whole wedding planning thing. I've had one or two freak out moments but nothing MAJOR.

Until this week. Until a girl named Chantal came along. In case you aren't familiar Chantal is currently churning out in the Caribbean Sea. She's the third tropical storm of the year.

This would be a forecast map. Now, some of you may be thinking "Nilda, you're wedding is on Friday, she's slated to be nowhere near Jacksonville (eastern coast of Florida near Georgia) on Friday."

And that would be correct. However, she is slated to be off the coast of Port Canaveral on Saturday and I am scheduled to leave Port Canaveral on a cruise ship on my honeymoon.

Enter extremely sad face here.

Now, I'm a Floridian through and through. Meaning I know how iffy tropical storms can be. And I know that it is still WAY too soon to tell exactly where she is going. I also know that tropical storms hate land and that she will be crossing over Hispaniola tomorrow.

But it seems that during the week of your wedding, all logical thought goes out the window. So all I keep thinking about is what if we can't leave? What if the ship can't come back from it's current itinerary? AGH!

So send positive thoughts my way, please? I'd really appreciate it!

WOWZERS! One week away!

So, this is my last Friday post for the next two weeks (unless I write them and schedule, but that like NEVER happens).

Why?

Well in case you haven't been following closely, my wedding is NEXT Friday. I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that MY wedding is next week. So used to helping others celebrate. Eeek!

So here's my five for this week:

My patriotic mani. Thinking I could parlay this pattern into other holidays: Valentine's Day draw a heart; Christmas, draw a tree.

I'm a BIT of a grammar nerd. So when I saw this sign at the grocery store, I couldn't pass a chance to snap a pic. It's what happens when you LITERALLY try to translate something.

We move in OFFICIALLY tomorrow! I'll be there today unpacking some boxes of clothes and such. I spent all day yesterday doing this:

Painting the master bathroom. It was originally a dark green color, eek! Now it's a calming light blue and it really opens up the bathroom.

This was my cat's preferred spot during last night's fireworks display in my neighborhood. Thought her little head was going to snap from all the back and forth she was doing!

Have a fabulous weekend! As always, linking up with Lauren!

Zuuuuuuuuuuuumba and a to-do list

Just got back from Zumba. Felt this was appropriate:

someecards.com - The moment when I realize the same chick keeps trying to take MY spot in Zumba

I'm sweaty, exhausted and feeling pumped. But yea, some chick kept taking my spot. Common courtesy people! Keep to your space and i'll keep to mine, okay?

Let's see what my to-do list looks like today:
  • get electric/water connected at our new place.
  • pack for the cruise
  • pack rest of belongings
  • confirm florist
  • buy gift for my parents
But first, off to enjoy my Tropical Smoothie lunch and watch Smash. Priorities, right?
